Death Certificate Information

While there are many details to manage when a family member dies, it is crucial that the information for the death certificate be accurate at time of filing. Amending a filed death certificate is an arduous and costly process that can significantly delay the receipt of certified death certificates needed for all legal and banking issues. In many cases, the amendment also requires legal documents of proof that may be difficult to process.

Should this information need to be changed AFTER THE FINAL FILING there will be a fee of $150.00 in addition to any fees that are assessed by the city/town or state for filing an affidavit and issuing new death certificates.
