WALTER S.I. BERNHEIMER

Bernheimer, Walter S.I of Brookline and North Miami, Florida died unexpectedly September 29, 2009. Age 89. Walter was very proud of his military service in WW II. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge, receiving a Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts. He was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Grenoble, France. Walter was a long time executive with Hub Mail Advertising Service, Inc. of Boston. He loved musical theatre and had a passion for thoroughbred racing. For ten years Walter was on the Board of Directors of Camp Allen for Blind Girls in New Hampshire, and for forty years was a member of Kiwanis. Because of Walter’s love of horses and cats, donations should be made to the humane society of your choice. He is survived by many loving nieces and nephews and dear friends.. Funeral arrangements are private and his ashes will be spread on the infield of The Saratoga Race Course.
