ELEANOR LEVINE

Eleanor (Horvitz ) Levine, died at her late residence in South Dartmouth on December 16, 2008. She was 91. Mrs. Levine was born in New Bedford, MA and has been a resident of South Dartmouth for the last 30 years. She graduated from New Bedford High School. She was a member of Hadassah, The National Council of Jewish Women, the New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home and a member of Tifereth Israel Congregation in New Bedford. She was the daughter of the late Morris Horvitz and Jeanette (Pearlman) Horvitz ; wife of the late Sidney Levine; sister of the late Bertha Leen and the late Walter Horvitz. Mrs. Levine leaves her children; Audrey Lamkin and her husband Fred of Boca Raton, FL and Stanley Levine and his wife Ilene of North Dartmouth; her grandchildren, Tobi Levine of Medford, Lyssa Bermant and her husband Jason of Roslyn Heights, NY, Jeffrey Levine of Los Angeles, CA, Lee Lamkin and his wife Pam of Naples, FL and Michael Lamkin and his wife Nicole of Plantation, FL; her great grandchildren, Brady Bermant and Joshua Lamkin. Services at Tifereth Israel Congregation, 145 Brownell Avenue, New Bedford, MA on Friday, December 19 at 10:30 am. Interment at the Tifereth Israel Cemetery, New Bedford. Memorial observance will be at the home of Stanley and Ilene Levine on Friday until 4 pm and continuing on Saturday 7-9 pm and Sunday 2-5 pm.
