Born in Brookline, David Brezniak is a fourth-generation funeral director whose great-grandfather Jacob H. Levine founded Levine Funeral Home in 1893 in the North End of Boston. David received his funeral director’s license in 1967 and served as Vice-President of Levine Chapel until 1989. He co-founded Brezniak-Rodman Funeral Directors with his late partner, George Rodman, in 1992. David has served in the Romney, Patrick, and Baker, and Healy administrations as Chairman of the State Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers, the first person of the Jewish faith to serve on that board. In 2018 he was appointed by Governor Charlie Baker to serve on the State Board of The Medical Examiners Office as well. In 2019 Brezniak-Rodman Funeral Directors became Brezniak Funeral Directors.

Doug has been a licensed funeral director for over 38 years. He graduated from Framingham South High School in 1984 and earned his associate’s degree in funeral service from New England Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences, Boston.
Committed to compassionate care, he has dedicated his life to assisting families in their time of need. As a member and past board member of the Mass. Funeral Directors Assoc. (MFDA) and member of the National Funeral Directors Assoc. (NFDA), he brings industry expertise and a deep understanding of the importance of honoring life with dignity. With an unwavering commitment to his community, he appreciates and continues to earn the trust of those he serves, guiding them through some of life’s most difficult moments.
Doug continues to reside in Framingham with his wife, Stacie. He is proud of his two children, John, who serves as a Lt.in the U.S. Navy and daughter Catherine, who works as a dental assistant in the local area.

Marcy Hirschen is the Director of Operations at Brezniak Funeral Directors. She is passionate about helping people and the community and believes she can do both by providing outstanding funeral services.
Prior to joining the family business, Marcy spent the last decade raising two daughters and being an active member of her community. She was president of the Mitchell School Parent Teacher Committee, served as a Special Education Parent Committee Liaison for the Needham Public Schools, and was on both the Temple and Sisterhood Boards at Temple Beth Shalom in Needham. Prior to the birth of her daughters, she taught elementary school in California and Massachusetts.
Marcy received her undergraduate degree in sociology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and her master’s degree in education from the University of Pennsylvania.

Elizabeth McKinney was raised in Vermont and graduated from Hartford High School in 1995. She is a veteran of the United States Navy, where her tours of duty included Naval Air Station TSC Sigonella Sicily, IT, and Naval Air Station Brunswick, ME. After her service, she earned her degree in Bereavement/Aftercare Services and Business Management from the New England Institute at Mount Ida College.
She lives in Natick with her five boys, James, Benjamin, Daniel, Samuel, and Joseph. Elizabeth loves traveling, the outdoors, sports, and spending time with her family.

Jim has been a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer serving families in the Boston area for 40 years. A graduate of Catholic Memorial High School in West Roxbury, Jim received his Associate’s Degree in Applied Arts and Science from New England Institute in Boston and a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Curry College in Milton. In conjunction with his funeral service career, Jim served for over 30 years in Law Enforcement, retiring from the Boston Police Department as a Sergeant Detective. Jim and his wife Janice reside in Westwood. They are the proud parents of two daughters, Jessica Lang and Kara Miller, and cherish their time with four grandchildren, Nathan, Brady, Logan, and Hailey.

Nathan Patrick has served Jewish families in their time of need for the past fifteen years throughout the greater Boston and South Shore areas. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Funeral Home Management and Grief Counseling from the New England Institute at Mt. Ida College. Nathan has his MA life producer’s insurance license and heads our pre-need department.
Born and raised in Sharon, MA, Nathan graduated Sharon High School in 1999. Growing up with two younger brothers, Nathan could often be found working hard at Ward’s Berry Farm on South Main Street. His personal time is spent with his two sons Samuel and Daniel. The absolute love’s of his life. Nathan’s other passions include martial arts fitness, reading, and volunteer work with community organizations including the Community Hevra Kadisha.

Phoebe is our unofficial therapy dog. She can provide love and comfort at the time when you need it most. Phoebe is glad to greet you and visit with you when you come to our funeral home. She is off on Weekends and Wednesdays.
