Edith Green

Of Dedham, formerly of West Roxbury and Mattapan, age 102, on January 5, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Nathan Green, devoted mother of Cyrill (Green) Wolf and the late Merton Wolf, and Brenda (Karwan) Green and the late Edward Green.  Predeceased by her loving parents, Rose and Jacob Yorra, her sisters Mary Kushner and Frances Gordon Smith, her brothers Abraham Yorra and Henry Yorra, and many, many friends. Beloved grandmother of Jeffrey Wolf and his wife Valerie, Paul Wolf, Donna Behr and her husband Daniel, and Rachel DeAntonio and her husband Brian. Dear great-grandmother of Elissa (Wolf) and Joshua Strauss, Jason and Gregory Wolf, Philip and Leslie Wolf, Aaron and Alexander Behr, and Stephen, Zachary, and Emily DeAntonio.  Also survived by many loving (great-grand and grand) nieces and nephews. Friend to many of the staff and residents of Avery Crossing and Newbridge on the Charles. The family expresses its deep appreciation to everyone on the 3rd floor of Newbridge on the Charles for their wonderful support and care. Services at Temple Emanuel, 385 Ward St., Newton, on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 1 pm. Following interment at Vilkomer Cemetery, Melrose, MA, family and friends are invited to the home of Cyrill Wolf until 8 pm, and Wednesday 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Hebrew SeniorLife, 1200 Centre Street, Boston, MA, 02131.
