Dr. Edwin Carton, age 85, of Newton died peacefully on Saturday at Epoch of Weston Rehabilitation Center. A devoted family man, he spent his last days serenaded by arias recorded by granddaughter Nili Riemer Bückert.

His love for spirited conversation and competitive games is carried on by his children and grandchildren.
