Donald B. Silkes

Silkes-Donald B., of Newton, formerly of Sharon, on January 18, 2013. Beloved husband of Sheryl (Rosenberg) Silkes. Dear son of the late Harry “Eddy” and Shirley (Kamerous) Silkes. Devoted father of Samantha and her husband Brian Kelly, and Lorne Silkes and his wife Kimberly. Proud grandfather of Nicole, Megan, Hayden, Brandon, and Blakelyn. Loving brother of Joan Freeman and her husband Alan. Donald is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and great nieces. Services at Temple Israel  125 Pond  St., Sharon, MA on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 1:00 pm. Following interment at Sharon Memorial Park, memorial observance will be at the home of Samantha and Brian Kelly until 8 pm, and will continue at Donald’s late residence Friday 11-2 pm, Saturday evening after sundown, Sunday 1-4 & 6-8 pm, and Monday through Wednesday 2-4 &   6-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Donor Services, PO Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202.
