Allyn I. Abramson, 82, of Framingham, entered into rest October 15, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Rhoda (Hurwitz) Abramson for 50 years.
Born in Boston, the son of the late Carl and Sophie (Snyder) Abramson, he was raised in Dorchester. He attended the Boston Public Schools and was a graduate of Boston English High School. Mr. Abramson served in the United States Army during the Korean era with the Co. “M”, 501st Air Unit at Ft. Jackson, SC. He was the owner and operator of the Bread Basket Bakery in Framingham for 20 years. He continued his love of baking well after retirement. During retirement he learned how to play golf and joined a choir in Florida. He was a member of the Sharon Men’s Club and the Knights of Pythias.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Abramson is survived by his devoted daughters, Andrea Baron and her husband James of Waltham, Carla Smargon and her husband Steven of Mansfield, and 3 dear grandchildren, Michaela, Zachary, and Adam. He was the loving brother of Beverly Fleishman and the late Charles Abramson.
Services will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 10:30 am at Temple Sinai, 25 Canton St., Sharon. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park.
Memorial observance will be at his residence following interment until 5:30 pm, Saturday evening after 6:30 pm, and Sunday after 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Aid for Cancer Research, P.O. Box 376, Newton Centre, MA 02459.
