Michele Berry

Michele Rose Berry- 78, of Brookline,MA passed away peacefully on May 5, 2015. Michele was born to the late Etta and Max Kushner on June 4, 1936 in Worcester, MA, where she was raised. After graduating from Classical High School in 1954 she attended the University of Michigan, majoring in Art history with a concentration in Asian art. Formerly married to David V. Berry, with whom she had two children, Jennifer and Samuel. Michele, known for her cheerful disposition and open mindedness, formed lifelong friendships with people of all ages and cultures. Always inquisitive, she was an avid traveler, reader, and culinary enthusiast. She had an impeccable eye, which was reflected in her colorful home and collection of fine art. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her loving and devoted children, daughter Jennifer, and son Sam and his fiancee Kristina Walker and granddaughter Emelia. She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Sylvia and Jerry Hoffman, brother and sister-in-law, David and Betty Kushner. Memorial services will be held in The Synagogue at the Community Center at Newbridge on the Charles, 5000 Great Meadow Rd. Dedham, MA, May 10, 2015 at 9:30 am. Following services a reception will be held in the Synagogue until 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to The National Endowment for the Arts, Attn: Tony Tighe, 1100 Pennsylvania NW, Room 516, Washington, DC 20506 or The American Heart Association , 300 5th Avenue, Suite 6, Watertown, MA 02451.
