Miriam Joan Watstein

age 59, passed away on Dec. 22, 2015, in Lexington, MA.

Miriam was born in Torrington, Conn, the daughter of Atty. Herbert Watstein (deceased, formerly of New Haven, CT, law practice in Bristol, CT), and Esther Bufferd Watstein (Stratford, CT). She was a graduate of Northfield School for Girls, Northfield, MA, and of New York University.

Miriam was an artist. She worked as a lighting technician at the Bottom Line Club and as a production assistant at CBS both in New York City. Married to John Caporal of Norwich, NY, she lived in Lexington, MA, and worked at WGBH as a production assistant and for various films and television shows filmed in the Boston area. She was active at the Boston Ballet in backstage work and taught in Boston area schools introducing school children to the world of ballet.

She taught art at various museums in the Lexington area and was an active participant in social media, specifically, The Fancy. She was devoted to her dogs, Metro and Star.

Besides her mother, and former husband, she is survived by her children; U. S. Navy Electronics Technician Second Class Samuel Caporal, Bremerton, WA; Coco Caporal, Los Angeles, CA; and Jack Caporal, Washington, D.C.

She is also survived by her sisters; Sarah Watstein, Wilmington, NC and Rachel Watstein, New York City.
