Sheldon Appel

Passed away on February 15, 2016 at the age of 85. Beloved father of Roni Siegel and her husband Leonard, and of Marjory Appel and her husband Jeffrey Dunetz. Loving brother of Thelma Kaplan and her husband Mark, and of Norman Appel and his life-partner Susie Freidman and ex-wife Wendy Appel. Devoted grandfather to Rebecca Siegel, and Julia, Caroline and Emily Dunetz. Cherished life-partner of the late Beth Pollack, caring ex-husband of Lee Appel and loyal friend of Mike Friedman. Shelly gave passionately to his work and employees at Perkit Folding Box and Shoe Carton Corporation; to a myriad of political, social and educational causes; and to his vast circle of family and friends. His zeal for life and love of others was infectious. Services will be held on February 21, 2016 at noon at Sharon Memorial Park  Chapel, 43 Dedham Street, Sharon, MA, followed by a reception at 1:30 pm at NewBridge on the Charles – 5000 Great Meadow Rd., Dedham, MA.
