Of Newton, on October 31, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Reba (Farbman) Katz. Devoted father of Devi Stern and her husband Martin Stern of Chicago, Naomi Katz Mintz and her husband Rabbi Lewis Mintz of Acton, and Jonathan Katz and his wife Norah Wylie of Newton. He was the proud and loving grandfather of Sarah and Rachel Stern, David Mintz, and Rebecca, Daniel, and Michael Katz, and ecstatic great-grandfather of Ella Smith and Nadav Mintz. Services at Temple Emanuel, 385 Ward Street, Newton, on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Beit Olam Cemetery, Wayland. Memorial observance at Cabot Park Village, 280 Newtonville Avenue on November 2nd from 5:00-7:00 PM, at 16 Cross Street in Newton on November 6th from 3-5PM and at 43 Arlington Street in Acton on November 3rd, 6th and 7th from 7-9 PM.
