Elliot Young

Elliot Young, a Natick resident for over 6 decades, died  peacefully at his home in Natick on Dec 28, 2016 at the age of 89. Born in Dorchester,MA he was the son of  the late Hyman and Rose (Schneider) Young. Beloved husband for 68 years of Bettie B. (Gens) Young. Devoted father of Susan Young Charton and Diane Young. Loving grandfather of Rebecca, David, Douglas, and Neil. Cherished great-grandfather of Leotie, Wolf, Donovan, Josephine, and Jack. Dear brother of Norman Young and the late Louis Young, Samuel Young, Julius Young, Joseph Young, Max Young, Irving Young, and Sylvia Osheroff. He was a devoted and loving uncle to his nieces and nephews:  Harvey, Barbara, Richard, Roy, Robert, Charlene and Dave, Ronnie, Elaine, Eileen, Heidi, Bruce, Dennis, Judy, David, Roz, Donny, Laurie, Ronda, Alan, Jonathan, Mark, Gary, Marsha, Michael, Dana and Steven.  Elliot symbolized the greatest generation this nation has ever seen. He was a self-made man who lovingly devoted his life to his family and many friends. He was a graduate from Thayer Academy in 1945 and a proud Mason of the Perfection In Framingham. Elliot and Bettie enjoyed many great years together golfing at Mt. Pleasant Country Club where he had a hole in one.  Services at Plymouth Rock Cemetery, 1000 Pearl St., Brockton, MA, Friday, December 30, 2016 at 11 am. Memorial observance at his late residence Sunday 1-4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Francis Ouimet Golf Scholarship Fund, 300 Arnold Palmer Blvd., Norton, MA 02766.
