Margaret Winer Sherin

Margaret Winer Sherin passed away on December 16, 2017 at age 71. Growing up in Newton, MA, she was the daughter of the late Irving Winer and Ruth Winer Gottlieb, the step-daughter of the late Attorney Joseph Gottlieb, the sister of Donald Winer of Sewall’s Point, FL who shared mutual idolization and love, and the sister-in-law of Maxine Winer. A long-time resident of Back Bay, Boston and Chatham, MA, she was the loving wife of Peter Sherin, and mother of her beloved son David. She leaves many devoted friends and family members. After a decades-long career as a psychiatric social worker, she turned to film screen writing, earning the interest of major cable producers and film directors and the respect of other writers. Often traveling internationally with her family, she found people and places around the world an inspiration for her work. The funeral will be for immediate family and her close friends.
