Edith Speigel Levey

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Edith Levey, aged 91 on June 13, 2021.

Raised in Holliston and Framingham Mass, Edith lived in Lexington for over 60 Years and was an active member of the Lexington Senior Center for many years following the death of her husband Gil in 2005.

Loving mother to her children Jane Levey Dowling and Richard Levey, mother in law to Ed Dowling and Lisa Halm and grandmother to Nikki, Zoe and Isaac and Aunt to many nieces and nephews including her niece Terri and her husband Andy.

An avid reader, Edie loved to discuss politics and the latest biography she had taken out of the library.  Edie enjoyed swimming in the Atlantic well in to her eighties and was a talented amateur painter in her youth.

Funeral service at Sharon Memorial Park Chapel, Sharon, MA, 40 Dedham St., Sharon, MA Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 2pm. Burial will follow. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Lexington Senior Center, 39 Marrett Rd., Lexington, MA 02420.
