Miriam Pearl (Greene) Bernstein, age 91, of Villanova, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. “Mimi”, better known by her grandchildren as “Ma”, was the beloved wife of the late Morton G. Bernstein and devoted mother of Moshe Yehuda (Batsheva), Don (Renee), Peretz, Ted (Lorri) and Julie. She was adored by her seventeen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Mimi grew up as the youngest child of the late Benjamin and Sarah Greene in Waltham, MA, alongside her 6 siblings of blessed memory. She had a dynamic personality, zest for life and a generous spirit. A philanthropist, she was an avid lover of animals and music. She was a dedicated homemaker and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. The care and maintenance of family was central to her life. Services will be held graveside at the Quincy Hebrew Cemetery at Baker Street Jewish Cemetery on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 2:00 pm. Shiva will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 6-9pm at Mimi’s home at 532 Craig Lane, Villanova, PA. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Philadelphia Zoo, Birthright Israel and the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia.
