After a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease, Michael passed away peacefully in the
early hours of June 1, 2022.
Michael was born in Columbus, Ohio, and raised in Youngstown. He was the eldest son of the late Sally
and Dr. David Brown and beloved stepson of Judith Brown of Fort Lauderdale, FL.

children, Ellie Brown, Zachary Brown and wife Caitlin Hannah, Emily Hajjar and husband Bill Hajjar, and
Abigail Iorio, husband Alex Iorio, and granddaughter Nicolette Iorio. He also leaves his siblings, brother
Robin Brown and wife Debbi Petrasek, sister Pam Beck and husband Dave Beck, and brother‐in‐law and

Michael was known for his deep “radio announcers” voice, his quick wit, and his love for all things music
with a particular passion for community theater where he and Jane met. He loved any music from jazz
to classical and often conducted symphonies with his conductor’s baton in front of the stereo.
He attended The Ohio State University and was a Buckeye for life. He graduated with a bachelor’s
degree in microbiology and received a master’s degree in biomedical communications. His career ranged
from running the Educational Media Center at Tufts Medical School to years of his own consulting
business focusing on telehealth and healthcare/business development.
He will be missed by all who knew him from community theater to his many business colleagues and will
be remembered forever by the family and friends he loved and cherished always.
