Thom Kidrin of Brookline, MA died peacefully at his home on November 21, 2025 from viral encephalitis. Thom was the beloved husband of Deborah Rivlin, Devoted father of Jenna Rose Willits (Michael Willits) and Aly Drew Coleman (Sean Coleman), loving Zayde of Liv, Fiona, Mila, Ella, Harper and Oliver. and older brother of Gwen Breidbart and Jeff Falick.

Thom was a force of nature—full of life, laughter, and unstoppable energy. He adored his family and friends, and nothing made him happier than whisking his children and grandchildren off on adventures, turning ordinary days into something fun, unforgettable, and often downright magical.

He poured his heart into the things he loved: gardening, cooking, and every inch of Truro—the clamming, the beaches, the dunes, and his legendary tours of all the Cape’s hidden treasures. Sunsets in Truro and Provincetown weren’t just sunsets to Thom; they were moments of wonder he shared with everyone around him.

Music moved him deeply. Dylan and Van Morrison were favorites, but Thom created beauty of his own—writing songs and filling the air with the sound of his 12-string guitar and harmonica.

An entrepreneur at his core, Thom built and inspired countless ventures. His mind never stopped sparking with ideas, and he approached his work with the same joy others might reserve for a favorite sport.

A voracious reader and lover of all things new—gadgets, inventions, the latest “must-try” idea—Thom’s curiosity was endless. His charisma was unforgettable, and people of all ages remembered him after a single meeting.

Thom was loved by so many, and he will be deeply missed. But his stories, his spirit, and the magic he brought to the world will live on forever.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm, Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Temple Israel Boston, 477 Longwood Ave., Boston, MA (parking on Riverway).

Shiva will be at Thom and Deborah’s house on Tuesday, November 25th, 2025 from 4:00 – 7:00 and at Jenna and Mike’s house on Wednesday, November 26th, 2025 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
