Goldman-Damelin, Ruth (Silverman) of Newton, on October 11, 2010. Beloved wife of the late Rubin Goldman and Herbert Damelin. Loving mother of Lisa and Arthur Bryant and Iris and Ken Sokol. Devoted and beloved grandmother of Josh and Zach Sokol. Loving sister of the late Eleanor Zamansky and Sydney Silverman and loving companion of Gene Liebman. Ruth is also survived by her son Jerry Goldman,his wife Jane and daughters Rachel and Erica. Services at the Brezniak-Rodman Chapel, 1251 Washington St.(Corner of Chestnut St.) West Newton on Friday, October 15 at 11 am. Following the burial at Baker Street, West Roxbury,memorial observance will be at the home of Lisa and Arthur Bryant in Waltham and memorial observance will continue on Saturday from 6-9 pm at the home of Iris and Ken Sokol in Sherborn. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that remembrances be sent to the Tippett House, 920 South Street, Needham, MA 02492.
