Ruth ( Gurwitz) Dorfman

Ruth (Gurwitz) Dorfman, died peacefully on Fri, Dec. 14th after a long battle with Merkel cell carcinoma. Born on April 26, 1921 in Brookfield, MA, Ruth spent a lifetime nursing and nurturing people and plants. She was truly a working woman: nurse, policewoman, hospital administrator, wife and mother. Private services were held on December 16th. She was predeceased by her husband, Phil, and is survived by her 2 sons, Mark and Dana. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Wendy, and a granddaughter, Molly, and her nieces, Karen, Paula and Betty. Donations in her name can be made to the de Rahm Hospice, 65 Chilton St, Cambridge, MA 02138, in gratitude of the loving care they provided Ruth.
