Rav Shimon Refael Sadick

Rav Shimon Daniel Refael Sadick, 61, passed away on January 5, 2013 after a short illness. He leaves behind his wife Myra Weisfeld Sadick of Houston; his son Simcha Binyamin Sadick of Brooklyn; step-children Isaac and Sara Jacobson of Houston.. He was the son of Marcia (Dobis) Sadick of Newton and the late Alvin Irving Sadick. He also leaves behind his sister Sherry Sadick Wilgoren of Framingham and brother Stuart Sadick of Newton; his nephew and niece, Joshua and Stacey Wilgoren of Framingham, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He lived and worked many years in Israel and abroad in the field of education as well as helping the infirm, homeless, and less fortunate. Funeral and burial were held on January 8 in Netivot, Israel. Contributions may be made in his memory to: Talmud Torah of Hevron Israel; or Hevra Kadisha of Houston; or Kiviti HaShem and Shiviti HaShem Synagogues in Ofakim, Israel. Memorial observance will be held at the residence of Marcia Sadick, Cabot Park Village, 280 Newtonville Ave, Newton, MA Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 2-4 and 6-8pm, Friday 2-4pm, Saturday 6-8pm, Sunday and Monday 2-4 and 6-8pm.
