LILLIAN L. (SHEIN) BAYER

Lillian L. (Schein) Bayer, 73, wife of the late Louis R. Bayer, died peacefully in her sleep at Hebrew Rehabilitation Center in Roslindale on Tuesday morning, August 4, 2009, after a long illness. She was predeceased by her sister, Ethel Schein Buscemi, and her brothers, Henry and Leo Schein. Lillian is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Richard Weldon of Taunton, her sons, Darryl Bayer of Houston, and Stephen Bayer of San Francisco, and her grandchildren, Erik, Valerie, and Lynn Weldon. She is also survived by her sister, Ruth Maniloff, her brothers, Arnold, Eddie, Harold, and Irving Schein, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Congregation Agudath Achim on Thursday, August 6th at 12:30 p.m. and burial will be at Mount Nebo Cemetery on Glebe St. in Taunton. Shiva services will be held Thursday, 5 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Hotel, Miles Standish Industrial Park in Taunton, and at the Taunton home of Joanne Weldon on Friday at 5 p.m. and Saturday at 8 p.m. Visitors are also welcome at the home of Joanne Weldon on Sunday and Monday between 12 – 2 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. both days. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please send donations in Lillian’s memory to Congregation Agudath Achim, 36 Winthrop St., Taunton, or Hebrew Senior Life, 1200 Centre St., Boston.
