AARONS, Jules of Auburndale on November 21, 2008. Beloved husband of the late Jeanette (Lampert) Aarons. Devoted father of Herbert Gene Aarons and his wife Rory Aarons of Salinas, CA and Philip E. Aarons and his wife Shelley Fox Aarons of NY. Dear grandfather of Sam and Solisa Aarons and Zachary Aarons and his wife Camilla Gale. Loving brother of the late Muriel Torris. Also survived by his niece, Donna Torres. Funeral services at the Brezniak-Rodman Chapel, 1251 Washington St., West Newton on Monday, November 24th, at 11:00 AM. Memorial observance is omitted. Donations in Jules’ memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Dr. Aarons received his PhD from the University of Paris and worked at the Air Force Cambridge Research Labs from 1950 to 1981, then joined Boston University as a research professor in the Dept. of Astronomy. He published in excess of 100 papers in scientific journals. In addition to his career as a physicist, he was a highly acclaimed photographer with a retrospective exhibition at the DeCordova Museum in Lincoln, MA in 2003. Late Army Air Corps Veteran of WWII.
