Irving Lerner WORCESTER- Irving Lerner, 91, of 16 Richmond Ave. died on Saturday, Feb. 23rd at Autumn Village Nursing Home. His wife of many years, Ruth (Goldman) Lerner died in 2008. He leaves a daughter, Elise Lerner of Columbus, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Dana Dufresne, Jr. of Worcester and Staci Allen of West Brookfield. He was predeceased by two daughters, Jane Lerner and Marsha Lerner. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and was the son of David and Libby (Stekolsky) Lerner and lived in Worcester over 70 years. He was in The Airforce during World War II and was held as a prisoner of war. He was active in prisoner of war veterans organizations. For many years he worked for Senac Corp. and for many years he owned Lumar Co., distributors of household goods. FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 11 AM ON MONDAY, MARCH 4th IN BETH ISRAEL SYNAGOGUE ON JAMESBURY DRIVE UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF BREZNIAK RODMAN FUNERAL HOME OF NEWTON. Burial will be in Massachusetts National Veterans Cemetery in Bourne. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice
