Hannah Karp

Hannah (Frost) Karp, age 97, died in Victoria Haven Nursing Home in Norwood after a long illness. Her husband of many years, Dr. Lewis S. Karp, died in 1975. She leaves a son, Thomas A. Karp and his wife Patricia of Sharon; a daughter, Martha J. Palmer of Framingham; a daughter-in-law, Melanie Karp of Needham; a sister, Marian Sussna of New York City; four grandchildren, Lauren, wife of Ronald Kinghorn of Needham, Jonathan Karp of Washington, D.C., Rachael, wife of Michael Lizotte of Essex Junction, VT and Alexander J. Karp of Brookline, MA; and three great grandchildren, Calvin, Caroline and Sadie. She was predeceased by a son, Dr. Peter J. Karp. She was born in Hudson, NY, a daughter of Morris and Celia (Swyer) Frost, was raised in Glens Falls, NY and lived in Worcester from the late 1930’s until 1992, when she moved to Norwood. GRAVESIDE FUNERAL SERVICES AT 1:00 PM, TUESDAY, DECEMBER 31, AT WORCESTER HEBREW CEMETERY, CEMETERY RD., AUBURN, MA, UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF BREZNIAK RODMAN CHAPEL OF NEWTON. Memorial observance will be held  immediately following  interment at a location to be announced at the funeral. Memorial contributions may be made to NAMI or National Alliance on Mental Illness, Mass., 529 Main St., Suite 1M17, Boston, MA 02129.
