FRAMINGHAM Frederick Fred S. Tapper, 68, of Framingham passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, October 12. A believer of music as therapy and lover of New Orleans-style Jazz music, Fred recently had begun organizing music events in the community room at the Hastings House, where he lived. You might also have seen Fred listening to live music at his favorite venues: the Sherborn Inn or the Dolphin Restaurant in Natick. His interests also included genealogy and tracing back the Tapper family tree, and reading about the life and works of Frank Lloyd Wright. Fred grew up in Lowell, Mass., graduated from Lowell Tech, raised his children in Southborough, and later moved to Framingham. He is survived by his children: Diana Tapper and her husband Jason Gorevic of Rye, NY; Eric Tapper and his wife Jeannie of Southborough; and Elana (Tapper) Natker and her husband Blake Natker of Boulder, CO; grandchildren Jonah and Hannah Gorevic, and Olivia Natker; sisters Carol Baldwin and her husband Peter of Connecticut and Roberta Yush and her husband Ed of Florida, plus extended family and many friends. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Beatrice Tapper. Services and burial will be held at Montefiore Cemetery in Pelham, NH on Thursday, October 15 at 11:30am. Guests are welcome to pay their respects at 18 Ted Lane, Southborough, MA on Thursday, October 15 from 3 8pm and Friday, October 16th from 12 4pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his name to Healthy Partners c/o JFS of Metrowest, 475 Franklin Street, Suite 101, Framingham, MA 01702 (www.jfsmw.org in Fred Tappers name).
