Florence Shapiro

Shapiro-Florence (Haskell), age 103, of Longwood, FL, formerly of Brookline, on March 26, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Shapiro. Devoted mother of James Shapiro ( Valeria )and the late Myra Shapiro Morris (Howard) .  Loving sister of the late Ruth Becker, Bertha Ogan, David Haskell and Abraham Haskell. Proud grandmother of Lynn,Audrey,Cynthia,Jessica,Tammi and Melissa and great-grandmother of Joseph and Ava.  Graveside services at Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon on Friday, March 30 at 10:45 am. Remembrances may be made to the Holocaust Center of Central Florida, 851 N. Maitland Ave., Maitland, FL 32751 or to Hadassah. For over 50 Years Mrs. Shapiro was a volunteer at the Jewish Memorial Hospital and Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and she was a Perpetual member of the Jewish Memorial Hospital and Hadassah.
