Thelma Gould

March 19, 2019

Thelma Gould (“Thellie”, “Lil Gram”), a beloved Grandmother, Mother, Wife, Sister, and Friend, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2019 at the age of 91. With an uncanny charm and a disarming smile, she was loved by everyone who was lucky enough to cross her path, but especially her family. She cherished her time working for FAO Schwarz, Parker Brothers and later Hasbro, where she created great relationships that endured during and after her decades long career. A woman ahead of her time, she was the primary bread winner for her husband, Veteran Walter Gould and daughter, Mattie.

Nothing was more important to her than her family, which she also made a well-known fact. Even though she lost her husband in 1997 and her only daughter in 2006 – she would tell everyone how lucky she was to be taken care of by her son-in-law Mike Perrera, his wife Luanne and her daughter Christina. All who met Thelma were regaled with glowing stories about her grandson Dan and his partner Amy. Thelma brought light to everyone in her life and she will be sorely missed. A private graveside service will be held in Long Island, where she will join her husband Walter in repose.

Thelma’s dog Brandy brought incredible amounts of joy to Thelma in the later years of her life. In that spirit, the family asks that donations to the MSPCA be made in her memory. You may donate directly to the MSPCA at MSPCA.org or by mail to MSPCA 350 S. Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130, Attention Donations.
