Mildred Dorothy (Levine) Feldman-of Dedham, formerly of Newton, died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at the age of 100. She was the consummate mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. “G-ma” will be remembered for loving to read to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, babysitting at a moment’s notice, knitting beautiful sweaters and blankets, enjoying a Red Sox game on TV with her sons and grandsons, passing on a joy of the game of golf, helping with late-night homework assignments for her sons as they grew up, and sharing her overwhelming love of family. She was famous for her lemon poppy seed cookies, apple crumb pie, and matzoh ball soup. Mildred was the wife of the late Hyman. She is survived by her brother, Ronald Levine and his wife Ina; her eldest son, Peter Feldman and his wife Catherine Dooley; her youngest son, Elliot Feldman and his wife Marilyn; her grandchildren, Ben Feldman and his wife Tricia, Nathan Dooley-Hayes and his wife Frances, Eve Feldman and Eric Dooley-Feldman; and by 4 great-grandchildren, Camille, Carolina, and Gabriella Feldman, and Hemsley Hayes. She has left us all with many wonderful memories that we will keep in our hearts and minds. Her spirit lives on through her family, as she would never forget to say “always love you” during a visit.
