Anne Parnes

Anne (Kalichman) Parnes, age 95, died at Aventura Hospital on Thursday, January 17th, 2013.Her husband, Dr. Jacob Parnes died in 1996. She leaves a son, Herschel Parnes and his wife, Margaret Soli of Seattle; a daughter, Dr. Sharon Parnes and her husband, Brien Brothman of Wrentham; a brother, Sol Kalichman of Aventura, FL; and two grandchildren, Suzannah and Ariel Brothman.She was the daughter of the late Aaron and Clara (Rosenfeld) Kalichman. She was a graduate of Albany State Teachers College and she received a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to her marriage, she was a social worker in New York City.She had formerly been a member of Congregation Agudat Achim, Leominster Chapter of Hadassah, League of Women Voters, and The Leominster Hospital Guild.She had lived in Leominster for 54 years before moving to Aventura in 2002. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, January 20th in Agudas Achim Cemetery on Rollstone Rd. in Fitchburg under the direction of Richard Perlman of Brezniak Rodman Funeral Home of Newton. Memorial Observance will be announced at the time of the funeral. The family suggests memorial contributions, to a charity of one’s choice .
