Attorney Nina J. Rosen

of Waltham, died peacefully at home on February 17, 2016 at the age of 69 following a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. She was the beloved wife of David Rosen; the loving mother of Michelle Stewart and Elisabeth Rosen; the devoted grandmother of Jordan Stewart and Alexandra Stewart Young; and the cherished sister of Elinor Bernstein and Susan Kulok and aunt of Mitchell Bernstein, Andrew Bernstein, Sharyn Mandell, Jon Kulok, Brian Kulok, and Stephanie Anders. She was also an esteemed colleague among Boston health care attorneys and a cherished friend of many dozens of acquaintances, neighbors and golf partners who were drawn to her caring, vibrant and infectious personality. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she graduated from Boston University and Suffolk University Law School and practiced law at the Massachusetts Rate Setting Commission, the Massachusetts Division of Insurance, Choate Hall & Stewart, the University of Chicago Hospitals, Boston Medical Center, and Boston Medical Center HealthNet Plan. Funeral arrangements are private. A memorial remembrance will be held at a later date. Donations in Nina’s memory may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.
