Barbara A. Mintz

Barbara A. Mintz-Of Lexington, MA, died on May 25 at age 88, after a brief illness. Beloved mother of Judith Mintz and her husband Andrew Kleppner of Arlington, and Susan Mintz and her husband Bill Jaeger of Arlington, and Elissa Mintz; grandmother of Hannah Kleppner, Samuel Mintz, and Harrison Mintz. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. David O. Mintz, and her brother, Howard Boltson. Born in 1933 in Bronx, New York to Hannah Rabinowitz and Jacob Boltson, she graduated from Queens College and worked in publishing for DC Comics and Western Family magazine. Barbara was many years ahead of her time as a home computer user and programmer, and she led the Boston Computer Society’s Commodore 64 User Group in the 1980s. She was an avid cyclist, skier and photographer. A graveside funeral service will be held at Westview Cemetery, 520 Bedford St, Lexington, MA on Sunday, May 29, at 10:30 a.m.
