Rolbein-Claire ( Fisher) of Newton, on December 23, 2011. Beloved wife of David Rolbein for 62 years. Devoted mother of Ethel Furst and her husband Gary of South Boston and Orleans, Seth Rolbein and Ellen LeBow of Wellfleet and Faye Hark and her husband Philip of Brookline. Fun-loving grandmother of Leah Furst Alani and her husband Eric , Jacob Furst and his wife Kate and Joshua Hark. Proud great-grandmother of Asher Davis Alani and Delilah Rose Alani . Loving sister of the late Bernard Fisher , Stanley Fisher and his surviving wife Regina, and Betty Matz. The family is grateful to the Lasell Village community, the team at Newton-Wellesley Hospital and longtime friend Awa Bolden. Services at Temple Shalom, 175 Temple St., West Newton on Monday December 26 at 11:00 am. Following interment at The Baker St. Cemetery, West Roxbury, the family will be at the home of Ethel and Gary Furst, 141 Dorchester Ave., South Boston until 8:00 pm Monday and at Lasell Village Library Tuesday 1-3pm. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Carroll Center for the Blind, 770 Centre St. Newton, MA 02458. Claire loved life, food and family.
