David Kaplan

David Kaplan-Of Ashland, on Wednesday, December 12. Beloved husband of Carol (Shapiro) Kaplan. Devoted father of Michael Kaplan and his wife Laura of Calabasas, CA, and Paul Kaplan and his wife Dana of Sherman Oaks, CA. Beloved brother of Sol Kaplan of Sarasota, FL, and the late Harold Kaplan. Cherished grandfather of William, Henry, Katherine, Sophie, and Grant Kaplan. He was a Professor of Anthropology at Brandeis University for 36 years. He was Chairman of the Anthropology Dept. and was Dean of the graduate school. Funeral Services will be held at 12 o’clock noon, today, Friday, December 14 in Congregation Temple Or Atid, 97 Concord Rd., Wayland. Burial will be in Beit Olam East Cemetery in Wayland. Memorial observance will be held from 2 pm. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, December 16th and on Monday, December 17th at his residence. Memorial contributions may be made to The Wayland Public Library, or to Massachusetts General Hospital, Tucker Gosnell Center for Gastrointestinal Cancer
