Doris C. Rosoff

Rosoff-Doris (Cline), of Newton Centre, peacefully at 91 years of age, on September 11, 2012. Loving mother of Sheryl L. Klein and her husband Ron of Southborough; Sharman M. Rosen and her husband Larry of Newton; and Ronald S. Rosoff and his wife Gretchen of Framingham. Loving wife for 58 years to her late husband Stanley. Beloved daughter of the late Hyman and Sadye (Levenson) Cline. Devoted “Ma” of Karen Klein Steinberg (Michael), Scott Klein, Steven Rosen (Lauren), Mark Rosen (Jennifer), Leslie Rosen Silberman (Jason), Jessica Rosoff Katz (Gregg), Thomas Rosoff (Dottie) and Peter Rosoff. She also leaves 14 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Louise Cline Slotnick and sister in law of the late Alvin Slotnick. Her two brothers ,Daniel (Dorothy) and Penneth (Lucille) pre-deceased her. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Her family would like to thank her two health care companions ,Joy and Leonia, for their years of devoted and loving care. Doris and Stanley were great benefactors to Newton-Wellesley Hospital and the Alzheimer Foundation. They were lifetime members of Temple Emanuel, Newton and its sisterhood, and Hadassah. Doris worked at Harvard School of Public Health. She was an avid Red Sox fan, a knitter and baker, and graduate of Girl’s Latin School and Simmons College. Services at Temple Emanuel, 385 Ward Street, Newton, on Thursday, September 13 at 11 am. Following burial at the Crawford Street Cemetery, Baker Street, West Roxbury, memorial observance will be at the home of Larry and Sharman Rosen, Thursday until 9 pm, Friday 1-4 pm, and Saturday evening.
