Byer- Etta (Siegel), of Brighton, on April 2, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Myer (Mike) Byer.  Dear daughter of the late Louis and Gussie (Mandelowitz) Siegel. Loving sister of the late: Samuel (Zeke), wife Ida, Harry, wife Ida and Jacob, wife Margaret Siegel. Loving aunt of Mark Siegel, wife Ann, Peter Siegel, wife Judi, Steven Siegel, Jane Siegel and Fred Siegel, wife Cyndie Cota. Loving great aunt of Amy Cohen, husband Gary, Jonathan Solin, Benjamin Siegel, wife Samantha, Rachel Siegel, Tara Dyer, husband Jonathan, Erika Cohn, Jed Cohn, wife April, and Emily Siegel. Loving great great aunt of Daniel, Cayla & Bennett Cohen and Reagan Dyer. Etta remained close to her late husband’s family, his late brothers Sam, wife Bebe and Mac, wife Anne Byer and late sister Minna, husband Al Van. Loving aunt of Sylvia Engell, husband Marshall, Natalie Schwartz, husband Melvin, Paul Byer, wife Beth, the late Susan Byer, Alan Byer, Roberta, Sandy and Barbara Van. Loving great aunt of Dianne Engell, husband Richard Popper, Robert Engell, wife Karen, Evan Schwartz, wife Denise, Emily and Alyssa Byer, Craig Byer, Samantha Gadsden, husband Adam. Loving great great aunt of Nathan Popper, Rebecca Kasper, husband Scott, Sarah Engell, David Engell, Isaac Schwartz, Jack Gadsden and Callie Gadsden. Etta was known by all for her unending devotion to family and friends, her thoughtfulness and generosity, and her strong spirit. All who knew her loved her and cherished the gift of her long life. Funeral services will be held at the chapel at Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon, MA, on Tuesday April 4, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Following interment family and friends are invited to the home of Steven Siegel. Remembrances in her memory may be made to Jewish Community Housing for the Elderly, 30 Wallingford Rd., Brighton, MA 02135.
