Freda Garbose

age 81, died peacefully after a brief illness on Oct. 9. Beloved wife of Bernie Garbose, mother of Bill (Lynne) Garbose, Simi Singer and Roz (Bob) Nasdor, and sister of Doris (Sheldon) Siskin. Lover of the written word, the Cape Cod Bay, long walks, fig trees  and her grandchildren Jonathan (Rebecca),  Michael, Haley, Matthew and Justin. Freda graduated from Queens College in 1956 and received her MA from Worcester State. She was a life-long educator and taught ESL to immigrants from around the world. Her love for her family and kindness to others will be remembered always.
