Picard, Hans of New Bedford, on February 15, 2008. Beloved husband of Shirley (Gerstein) Picard for 54 years. Devoted father of Michael Picard and his wife Mary Russell of Carlisle, Heidi Alpert and her husband Bruce of Wellesley, and Matthew Picard and his wife Suzanne Rapp of MD. Dear grandfather of Nikki and Alex, Marcus and David, Alyssa, Gregory and Sonia. Loving brother of Ernest Picard of Newton and Irving Picard of NY. Services will be held at Tifereth Israel Congregation, 145 Brownell Avenue, New Bedford, on Sunday, February 17 at 10:30 am. Immediately following interment, family and friends are invited back to Tifereth Israel Congregation until 2:00 pm. Memorial observance will continue at his late residence Sunday 2-5pm, Monday 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Tuesday 2-4 pm. Remembrances may be made to Tifereth Israel Congregation.
