
WORCESTER – Harold Ravelson, 90 of Milton, formerly of Worcester, died on Tuesday, Jan. 28,2014.
He leaves his wife of 66 years, Edith (Lyon) Ravelson; two sons, Robert Ravelson and his wife Maxine of Newton and Bruce Ravelson and his wife Francine of Milton; a sister, Claire Michelman of Florida and three grandchildren, Kai, Tyler and Samuel Ravelson. He was predeceased by his brothers, Milton and Arthur Ravelson and by his sisters, Rosalyn Joseph and Sylvia Bloomfield. He was born in Worcester and was a son of Samuel and Anna (Margolis) Ravelson and was a life long resident.
He was a disabled World War II Army Veteran who earned the Purple Heart and Bronze Star while serving in Germany.
He was the owner of Huddie’s Food Specialties for many years.
He was a long time member of the Beth Israel Synagogue, the Jewish War Veterans, and B’Nai Brith.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 11AM ON SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 2,2014 AT TEMPLE EMANUEL SINAI, 661 SALISBURY ST., UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF BREZNIAK RODMAN CHAPELS OF NEWTON. Burial will be in B’Nai Brith Cemetery. Immediately following interment, a reception will be held at a location to be announced in Worcester. Memorial observance will continue 7- 9 pm Monday & Tuesday at the residence of Bruce and Francine Ravelson, 970 Canton Avenue, Milton, MA.
