Harvey Cholfin

Harvey Cholfin-age 97, of Atlanta, died September 17, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Ida Cholfin, and brothers Izzy and Joe Cholfin. He is survived by his sons, Bill (Linda) Pinto and Ed Cholfin; daughters, Marilyn Needleman, Ellen Cholfin (preceded in death) (Nissim) Elbaz, grandchildren, Marcie (Steve) Ostiguy, Stacey Flores (Joel Higgins), Eric (D’Anna) Miller, Bill Jr. (Jennifer) Pinto, Tanya Adams, Anita (Troy) Aubrey, Nicole (Jonathan) Maxwell, Scott (Robin) Needleman, Traci (Mike) Paul, Gilad (Elyssa) Elbaz, Eytan (Sherry) Elbaz, Noam (Yael) Elbaz; great-grandchildren, Luke (Kubra), Sarah (Nick), Jonathan, Keegan, Grace, Abigail, Peyton, Kiernan, Eli, Phoebe, Rebecca, Erika, Brittni, Benjamin, Daniel, Liana, Everly, Akina, Hana, Yona, Sofia, Steve Jr. (Crysta), Alyssa, Drake (Kim); and great-great-grandchild, Miloh. Harvey served in the US Army during World War II and the Korean War as an airplane mechanic. He was well spoken, an excellent writer and story teller, and a voracious reader. He loved telling jokes, dancing, and building model airplanes. He made friends very easily and conversed or wrote notes with many friends over the years.
