(September 15, 1911-November 14, 2013), remarkable wife (Ralph), mother (Howard, Marion), grandmother (Andrew, Benjamin, Daniel, Jay, Kerith), great grandmother (Aggie, Oscar), beloved by scores of relatives and friends all over the world. In face of life-altering disruptions by the rise of Nazi Germany and the tragic death of her beloved first son Eric, she fashioned a new life for herself and her family in the United States, volunteered and accepted leadership roles in many organizations, learned bridge at age 70 and taught bridge to others until the last month of her life, was a realist who chose to see the positive options and inspired countless others to do the same.
