Jane Fialkow

Jane Fialkow passed away on January 23, 2013 in her sleep from Alzheimer’s disease and pancreatic cancer, She and her Buddy (Jay) lived a beautiful and loving life together for 62 years. They met when Jane was a student at Emerson and Bud at Harvard. They were blessed with 3 wonderful children: Linda Sternberg, Debra Zabluidowski and David. These wonderful children and their spouses, Dan, Nina and the late Ricky, produced 6 exceptional grandchildren: Michael Sternberg and his wife Vanessa, Matt Sternberg, Jason and Jamie Zabluidowski,Olivia and Julian Fialkow. Last year 225 of Jane’s  family  and closest friends helped her celebrate her 85th birthday with the tag line EVERYBODY LOVES JANE….true then and true for these many years. Jane and her brother Fred of Boca Raton were born in New Haven CT to Belle and Julius Maretz. Jane and Bud lived at Newbridge on the Charles for the past 3 years and previously in Newton and Key Biscayne,FL.Jane was cared for by 3 angels to whom the family will be eternally grateful : Dr. Suzanne Salomoin, Nadine Lavaud and Marie Alexander. Services will be held  Friday  January 25, 2013 at 12:00 noon at Congregation Mishkan Tefila, 300 Hammond Pond Parkway, Newton. Following interment at Sharon Memorial Park, memorial observance will be at Great Meadow Hall, 5000 Great Meadow Rd., Dedham (Newbridge on the Charles) until 5:00 pm today and continuing  Saturday at the home of Linda Sternberg 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, 330 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02215.
