84, of Naples, FL, formerly of Newton, Peabody, Lynnfield and Middleton, MA, died Sunday, August 2, 2015 in Naples, FL. Born in Boston, the daughter of Joseph and Lillian (Kapstein) Rubin. Joanne had been an elementary school teacher for Peabody South Memorial School for many years. She was alumni of Brown University and Framingham State College as well as the executive secretary of (CJP) Combined Jewish Philanthropies. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Arthur J. Doxer, daughter, Mary (Christopher) Davies of Ellenburg Center, NY, four grandchildren: Anthony, Glenn, Branden and Aren, four great-grandchildren: Alex, Nicole, Antonio and Cassidy, and her dear friend, Gersha Bayer and her children Wallis, Eric and Lauren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, James Rubin. A graveside service will be held in Sharon Memorial Park, 43 Dedham St., Sharon, on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at 10:45 am.(Please gather at the rear of the Administration Building ). A Memorial service in Naples/ Marco Island, FL will be held on a date to be announced.
