Lorraine Karofsky

KAROFSKY, Lorraine (Goldberg) 93, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, formerly of Newton and Wayland, MA on December 14. She joins her beloved husband Al, who died on September 3, 2011. Lorraine leaves her three sons and daughters-in-law, Lee and Linda Karofsky of Palm Beach, FL; Harvey and Gale Karofsky, of Palm Beach, FL; and Marc and Susan Karofsky of Wayland, MA. In addition, she leaves her grandchildren: Robin and Stephen Malasky, Eric and Kimberly Karofsky, Judd and Samantha Karofsky, Keri Glassman, Tracy and Matthew Shepard, and Lindsay and Dan Guttell, as well as her 10 great grandchildren: Hannah and Max Malasky, Matthew, Spencer, and Brooks Karofsky, Dylan, Ellie, and Alexandra Karofsky,Rex and Maizy Glassman. Lorraine was a lifetime member of Hadassah, a member of the Children’s Hospital League, and the Beth Israel Hospital Auxiliary, Boston, MA. She also volunteered her services as an aide to a nursing group during WWII. She was an avid golfer and a member of Pine Brook Country Club,Weston, MA for over 60 years. A graveside service will be held at Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon, MA on Sunday, December 18, at 10:45 am. Immediately following the burial, memorial observance will be at the Clubhouse at the Hills at Mainstone, 133 Hillside Drive, Wayland until 4 PM.
