Marcia (Miller) Yanofsky

of Newton and Palm Beach died at home on May 15 at age 89. Beloved wife of the late Robert Yanofsky and devoted companion of the late Morris Greenbaum.  She is survived by her brother, Sydney Miller, of Boston, and her three beloved daughters: Faye Yanofsky Gmeiner and her husband, John Gmeiner, of Kennebunk, Maine; Nancy Yanofsky and her longtime companion, Edward Brown, of Bethesda, Maryland; and Debra Yanofsky and her husband, Steven Shulman, of Brookline. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Julia Gmeiner and her husband, Joshua Wurzman, Harrison Shulman, and Andrew Shulman. Marcia volunteered for many philanthropic causes and was an avid golfer, homemaker and baker. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Brigham and Women’s Hospital or a charity of your choice.  Services will be held on Monday, May 16, at 1:00 PM at Temple Emanuel, 385 Ward St., Newton. Interment to follow in Lindwood Memorial Park, Randolph. Shiva will be at her former home following the funeral until 9 pm  and on Tuesday and Wednesday from 1-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
