Kronenberg-Marvin L., of Needham, on August 8, 2012. Beloved husband of Marianne Kronenberg. Devoted father of Alan Kronenberg, Judy Bruenjes and her husband Mike, and Jerry Kronenberg and his wife Karen. Proud grandfather of David and Lily Bruenjes. Loving brother of Ron Kronenberg and the late Lorraine Gzesh. Marvin is survived by many loving nieces and nephews. He worked for many years as a research chemist, designing batteries for Union Carbide, Duracell and other companies. He received undergraduate and master’s degrees from the University of Chicago and a Ph.D in electrochemistry from Case Western Reserve University. He also served as a chemist for the U.S. Army in the 1950s, earning the rank of Sergeant. Services at the Brezniak-Rodman Chapel, 1251 Washington St. (corner of Chestnut St.), W. Newton, on Sunday, August 12, 2012 at 11:00 am. Following the interment at Beit Olam Cemetery, Wayland, memorial observance will be at his residence on Sunday until 6 pm Monday and Tuesday 2-5 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
