Devoted father of Alan Gertel and his wife Diane, and Judy Solomon and her late husband Jerry.Dear grandfather of Larry Solomon and his wife Jodi, Matthew Solomon and his wife Lori,  Aaron Solomon and his wife Miriam, Wendy Gertel, and Heather Herman and her husband Bill.Cherished great grandfather of Ilana, Ziv, Eila and Zachary Solomon, and Brooke Herman. Dear brother- in- law of Roz Foster Bean and her husband Laurie Bean,and Roz’s late husband Melvin Foster. Services at Temple Emeth, 194 Grove St.,Chestnut Hill, on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 1:30 pm.
