Herman-Meryl S. (Starr) of Newton, on September 17, 2008. Beloved wife of Michael Herman. Dear daughter of Claire Starr and the late Paul Starr. Devoted mother of Jennifer, Starr and Perry Herman. Dear sister of Gloria Berger and her husband Robert of St. Louis, MO. Also survived by loving nieces and nephews. Meryl loved her family pets, Molson, Lucifer, Bailey and Lily. Services will be held at Temple Beth Avodah, 45 Puddingstone Lane, Newton on Friday Sept. 19 at 1:00 pm. Following interment at Sharon Memorial Park, memorial observance will be at the home of Dennis and Cece Herman 7 Stonewood Drive,Newton Friday until 5:00pm, Saturday 7-9pm, Sunday and Monday 2-9pm.In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Mass General Hospital Thyroid Cancer Fund 165 Cambridge St. Suite 600 , Boston, MA 02114.
