Rose (Fineman) Shaffer

SHAFFER- Rose (Fineman), of Needham, formerly of Swampscott, Lynn, and Lawrence, passed away on, August 2, 2016, at the age of 94. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Pearl (Midkoch/Metcoff) Fineman and was predeceased by her beloved husband Samuel Shaffer as well as by six brothers and sisters (Andrew Fineman, Ann Cohen, Jake Fineman, Charles Fineman, Louis Fineman, and Fay Gruber). She will be sorely missed and is survived by her loving daughters, Paula Schatz and her husband David and her daughter Wendy Shaffer. She was also “Bubbie” to her adored grandchildren Samuel and his wife Michelle Schatz, Jay Schatz, and Nina Schatz. She will also be missed by several nieces, nephews, and friends. Graveside services will be held at Congregation Ahabat Sholom Memorial Park, 16 Buxton Road, Route 114, Danvers, on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 11 am. The family will honor Rose by sitting Shiva at the Schatz home on Wednesday 7-9 pm, Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 pm and Friday 2-4 pm.
