Ruth L. (Gerson) Rabinow

of Winthrop, formerly of Newton, August 29, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Morton B. Rabinow. Devoted mother of Jane DeGregorio and James Wall of Winthrop, Julie Mahegan and her husband Robert of MA, David S. Rabinow and his fiancé Ekaterina Silikova of Stoughton and Missy Frederick and her husband Michael of Framingham.

Adored grandmother of Susan Douyotas and her husband Robert, Henry Mahegan and his wife Alyssa, Doug Mahegan, Ben, Lily and Will Rabinow. Loving sister of Thelma Appelstein of Newton and Martin Gerson and his wife Heather of Manhattan, NY. Also survived by her dear aunt Sylvia Frieze previously of York, ME.

A Memorial Service will be held in the Wilson Chapel @ the Andover Newton Theological School, 234 Herrick Rd., Newton Centre, MA. 02459, on Wednesday, Sept 2, at 11:30am. Relatives and friends are invited.

Memorial donations in her name can be made to the Massachusetts Audubon Society c/o Development Office 208 South Great Rd, Lincoln, MA. 01773. Ruth was a member of the Newton Conservators, an organization to preserve open space in Newton. Some of her favorite hobbies included “birding”, reading, music, and gardening.
